ICS ROM Android 4.0.3 now available | Download and Install on Galaxy S2 [HowTo]

The latest build of the Android 4.0.3 for Samsung Galaxy S2 is here. Now you can download and install the Ice Cream Sandwich on your Galaxy S2 smartphone. This version comes with a few improvements. Like:

-          GUI Speed – noticeably faster than the previous version

-          Better Signal – new radios for signal increase

-          Battery – the standby time has increased

-          3D effects – small changes to GUI – 3D feel like

Remember that this is a leaked version of the official Samsung ICS (this is not a custom build ROM), consider it stock firmware. Although the source is clean rootingdroid.com cannot be held responsible for eventual data loss or crashes that can appear during flashing and afterwards.

Note that you need a rooted Galaxy S2, to root your Samsung go here.

1st Step: Download all the necessary files

-          ODIN 1.83 from here.

-          Android 4.0.3 ICS I9100XXLPB firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/2012/02/02/new-ics-for-the-galaxy-s-ii-i9100xxlpb/

2nd Step: Close Samsung KIES in case is opened. This may interfere with ODIN.

3rd Step:  Launch ODIN.

4th Step: Turn off your Galaxy S2 and enter

in Download Mode by pressing Home + Volume Up + Power.

5th Step: Connect your SGS2 to the PC via USB. Odin will recognize it.

6th Step: In ODIN select PDA and browse for I9100_CODE_I9100XXLPB_CL99600_REV02_user_low_ship.tar from the previously downloaded files.

7th Step: Select CSC and browse for GT-I9100-MULTI-CSC-OXXLP5_RST.tar

8th Step: For MODEM choose MODEM_I9100XXLPB_REV_02_CL1101286.tar

9th Step: Click on START and Odin will flash your device.

If nothing goes wrong you should boot without problems your Galaxy S2 running on Ice Cream Sandwich.

    ICS i9100XXLPB does not auto-grab APNs from mobile carriers. So u need to manually-set your APNs for 3G internet-connection and MMS.
