The advantages of a Honeycomb OS installed on your laptop are: the ability to browse the web, browse your pictures and playback movies or videos. The OS can be used on an Asus Eee PC with a keyboard and mouse.

Maybe the most important thing is that the source code is free of charge.

The project is still a work in progress. The Wi – Fi has minor glitches. The Dell and Samsung user didn’t report any problems with Honeycomb.

Let’s get started:

Step 1

Download and install the android-x86 ISO. Go to http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/

Step 2

Download unetbootin-windows-563.zip and unzip.

Step 3

Insert SD or USB card into computer.

Step 4

Open UNetbootin and use it to burn ISO image to SD/USB card.

Step5

Go to your BIOS options (Setup) and select boot from USB drive.

Step6

Restart the Asus Pc

Step 7

Run Android

OS from USB Driver or install it on your hard disk

Step 8

If you decide to install it and not just run from SD Card, format it using the EXT3 option

Step 9

You are Done!

The developers are currently working on porting the Gingerbread version on your notebook as well. Also they are preparing some cool surprises.
